| 小说《狼图腾》英译本在海外的发行曾创下英译汉语作品之最。在译本中,译者采取了忠实与操控相结合的翻译策略:一方面忠实传达原作的深层语意,并尽可能保留原作中丰富的蒙汉文化特色;另一方面又考虑目的语读者的接受程度,对小说叙事方式进行修正,并对文本顺序进行一定程度的重组以帮助读者理解。此翻译策略值得译介现当代中国文学作品时借鉴。 |

| The overseas distribution of Wolf Totem is unprecedented in comparison with that of other Chinese works. In the English version, the translator Howard Goldblatt adopts the translation strategies that combine fidelity and manipulation in a perfect way. The former involves conveying as faithfully as possible the meanings and Sino-Mongol cultures in the ST while the latter involves revising and adjusting the ST to facilitate its reception in the target society. The two-hand translation strategies are without doubt conducive to the effective translation and dissemination of the modern and contemporary Chinese literature. |
