The Historical Change of the Concept of "Women" in the Revolutionary Discourse System of the Communist Party of China

Abstract:
During the New Democratic Revolution, the Communist Party of China reinterpreted the term "women" inherent in traditional culture with Marxist theory. As a bridge, the concept of "women" in the revolutionary discourse system of the Communist Party of China not only links the miserable sufferings of Chinese women in the past and the bright future, but also promotes the integration of foreign Marxist theory and local Chinese traditional culture. Under the guidance of Marxist theory, the Communist Party of China creatively alienated "women" from "gender" and united it with "class". They reinterpreted the relationship between "women" and "tradition" during the Agrarian Revolution. The concept of "women" began to be localized. In addition, "women" was pushed to a national field during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression by the Whole Nation. During the War of Liberation,"women" and "turning over" had become the important symbols of revolutionary victory. The process of remolding the concept of "women" by the Communist Party of China is exactly the process of the continuous sinicization of Marxist women 's theory.
