| 2008年北京奥运会是中华民族的百年期盼。奥运会将人的全面发展作为永恒追求的目标,将推动社会全面、协调、可持续发展作为崇高理想。北京奥运会的“人文奥运,绿色奥运,科技奥运”理念契合了当前中国构建和谐社会的理念。因此,2008年北京奥运会必将为中国构建社会主义和谐社会注入强大的动力,必将对中国政治、经济、文化和社会发展起到巨大的推动作用。 |

| Holding an Olympic Games, which takes the all around individual development as far reaching ideal and purpose, is the long time thirst of all Chinese people, and it will surely promote society 's full and sustainable development as well as its harmony. Three concepts have been adopted for the Beijing Olympic Games, namely, the Green Olympics, the High tech Olympics and the People 's Olympics, which happened to have the same view with our construction of harmonious society. Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will play a significant role in promoting the construction of harmonious society, in the development of Chinese politics, economy, culture and society. |
