Abstract: |
The production, as well as the processing of crude oil in Soviet Far East in early 1950s was concentrated in the areas such as Sakhalin Island, Khabarovsk Kray and so on. The crude oil and petroleum products could partly meet local needs, simultaneously were exported to socialist coutries in Northeast Asia. Under the escalating situation of the Cold War, the comparatively limited ability of transportation, production and its processing capability in Soviet Far East not only possessed crucial local impact but a certain international influence as well. |
