| 日用家当》选自当代美国黑人女作家Alice Walker的短篇小说集《爱情与困惑:黑人妇女的故事》。国内外学者大多围绕小说的主题——黑人对待文化遗产继承的态度进行研究,但也可以另辟蹊径,运用称呼语的理论从社会语言学的角度探讨小说的语言特色及其文体价值。小说中母亲在不同的场合下对大女儿、大女儿男友及小女儿使用了名字、头衔+姓名、物主代词+名等不同的称呼语。这些语言手段在《日用家当》中的运用可以产生独特的文体价值——惟妙惟肖地表现出母女间的亲疏关系;形象地刻画出主人公的心理活动、对待文化遗产的态度;进而,揭示并深化小说的主题。 |

| Everyday Use is selected from American contemporary writer, Alice Walker 's collection In Love and Trouble:Stories of Black Women. Most studies on the theme of this short story, i.e. how the black treats their heritage of culture, are conducted by scholars at home and abroad. A new method is developed in this paper which attempts to probe into language features and their stylistic values in Everyday Use by application of the theories of address forms from the perspective of sociolinguistics. Different address forms are applied by the mother on different occasions in the story, i.e. those to Dee, Dee 's boyfriend, and Maggie such as name, title+name and possessive pronoun + name. These devices applied in Everyday Use may create special stylistic values, i.e. displaying the relationship between the mother and the daughters vividly; depicting the protagonists mentalities and their attitudes toward cultural heritage delicately; intensifying the theme. |
