| 从《西游记》小说文本的描述和叙述可知,沙僧是印度“苦行”意识理念的化身;《西游记》文本描述沙僧项戴骷髅项饰,这一身体文化来自佛教密宗,而密宗继承和吸纳了印度婆罗门教之湿婆派的习俗;小说中,沙僧“蓝面”、“红发”的身体形貌描写及其文化内蕴表明沙僧源自印度神话中神祇的体貌特征,它通过佛教俗讲和变文、藏传佛教传入西域,又传入中土;从而推知沙僧具有鲜明的印度血统。 |

| Abstract: |
| From the description and narration of Monk Sand in the Pilgrimage to the West, we draw a conclusion that Monk Sand is the incarnation of the idea of asceticism. Monk Sand wears the human skeleton which comes from the Shaivism school of Indian Brahmanism through Tantra of Buddhism. According to the the Novel, Monk Sand 's face is blue and his hair is red, which is the physical characteristics of Indian gods and monsters. In conclusion, Monk Sand has the Indian culture source. |
