| 蔡元培先生是中国近代著名的教育家,为中国高等教育事业现代化奠定了基础。他的学术至上、育人为本、社会服务的大学观,民主管理、教授治校的管理观,重视师资、广泛延聘的教师观,大学“治学”、科学定位的学科观等高等教育思想和改革实践,不仅在当时具有明显的进步性,即使在今日对中国高等教育端正高校职能、民主管理高校、重视师资建设和科学特色发展等仍具有重要启示。 |

| Mr. Cai Yuanpei is a famous patriotic educator in modern China. He laid the foundation for the modernization of China 's higher education. His philosophy of higher education and practice, such as the university concept of academic first, education-oriented, social service, the democratic management concept of "administration by professors", the concept of attaching great importance to the teachers and hiring the teachers widely, the discipline concept of academic university and scientific orientation. These have obvious progressive significance at that time. Even today, they still have important revelation for China 's higher education, such as correcting the understanding of university function, managing the university democratically, paying attention to the construction of teachers, developing the disciplines scientifically with special characteristics, etc. |
