| 竹枝词是重要的社会史素材,18~20世纪上半叶江浙沪竹枝词中频繁出现西方商品,因此,可以利用江浙沪竹枝词考察该时期江南社会的西方商品及其形象变迁。江浙沪竹枝词中关于西方商品的描写,反映出西方商品对江南社会的影响是一个不断加深的过程,在这个过程中江南的西方商品形象发生了三个明显变迁,即从奇珍异物到现代商品、从不感兴趣到流行时尚、从奇技淫巧到师夷长技。与英国成功实现针对中国商品的进口替代并化解民族市场的中国时尚不同,江南并没能建立起可与西方对等竞争的民族产业,没能成功抵制鸦片战争后的欧风美雨,这是导致江南的西方商品形象发生上述转变的一个关键原因。但竹枝词也反映出在西方商业入侵和民族危难之际,江南为探索国家富强所做的不懈努力。 |

| Zhuzhi Ci is an important social history material. Western commodities frequently appeared in Zhuzhi Ci of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai from the 18th century to the first half of the 20th century. Therefore, we can study Zhuzhi Ci to survey western commodities and their image changes in Jiangnan society during this period. The description of western commodities in Zhuzhi Ci reflects that the influence of western commodities in Jiangnan society is a deepening process. In this process the western commodities image in Jiangnan underwent three distinct changes:from the exotic foreign bodies to modern commodities, from goods of no interest to fashion, and from the diabolic tricks and wicked craft to learning foreign technology. Different from Britain which successfully realized import substitution for Chinese goods and defused Chinese fashion in national market, Jiangnan failed to establish national industry that could compete with the West from 18th century to the first half of 20th century. So Jiangnan failed to resist the influences of western commodities and culture after the Opium War.This is a key reason for the transformation of the western commodities image in Jiangnan. However, Zhuzhi Ci also shows Jiangnan 's unremitting efforts for the prosperity of the country at the critical moment of western business invasion and national crisis. |
