| 象似性理论认为语言结构与人的经验结构之间存在照应性关系,语言结构不是任意的,而是有动因和理据可循的。象似性理论的这一观点可用于解释英语语法。通过对语法的距离象似性、顺序象似性及数量象似性加以阐释,已初步证明象似性理论对英语语法认知理据的理解富有指导意义。 |

| Iconicity means there ia a natural relationship between language and cognition. Language is not arbitrary but motivated. Therefore the Iconicity Theory can be used to explain English Grammar. It is proved in this paper that the theory is instructive to the understanding of English Grammar. |
