| 冗余是语言的重要属性,在保证信息的有效传输、提高信息传输率、精确性诸方面都起着重要作用。英汉冗余信息总体上可分为语法性冗余信息、语义性冗余信息和语用性冗余信息。但英汉基本句子结构不同,相同的冗余信息在句子中的分布也不同。在翻译英文本时,必须按照汉语的表达方式对冗余信息进行必要的重新组合,有时需要增减冗余信息,方能符合汉语表达习惯,提高翻译质量。 |

| Redundancy is the important property of language, which plays an important role in guaranteeing the effective information transmission, improving the information transmission rate and accuracy. English-Chinese redundant information can generally be divided into the grammatical redundant information, the semantic redundant information and the pragmatic redundant information. Because the basic sentence structure in English and Chinese text is different, the distribution of the same redundant information is also different. In the translation of English text, its redundant information must be reconstructed in accordance with its Chinese expression. That is, the relevant redundant information is sometimes added or omitted to improve the translation quality. |
