| 石油科技英语语篇主位推进模式主要有主位同一型、延续型、交叉型和述位同一型等四种模式。各种模式的使用概率不尽相同,且在语篇中体现出多种模式交叉使用的特征。对这些模式进行分析,可以再现石油科技英语语篇的文本构成特征,挖掘语篇信息的衔接组织方式,准确解读作者的谋篇意图和所要传递的信息。在英译汉时,应区别对待英汉两种语言在谋篇上的差异,依据“保留+重构”的原则,得体地再现石油科技英语语篇中的主位推进模式。 |

| Analysis of the Thematic Progression Patterns in Petroleum Technical English Texts and the Implications on Translation |

| Abstract: |
| There exist four key thematic progression patterns in the petroleum technical English texts:parallel pattern, linear pattern, intersecting pattern and cluster pattern. The four patterns differ widely in their use and showcase the combination of two or more patterns in the Petroleum technical English texts. The analysis of these four patterns can reveal how texts of this kind are constructed, how the textual information is organized or knit together and what the text is intended for as well as what it is about. In the English to Chinese translation practice, great attention should be paid to the textual differences in the two languages so that the thematic progression patterns of the source text can be aptly rewritten depending on whether the pattern needs to be kept or reconstructed. |
