| In Fukuyama 's view, socialism is wrongly described as something that runs counter to the values of freedom and democracy. The main reason is that he equates the Soviet Union with the whole of socialism, and ignores the value pluralism of freedom and democracy. In fact, after more than 40 years of reform and opening up, the development of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics has not only greatly enhanced the Chinese people 's equal enjoyment of freedom and democracy, but also provided a possibility for mankind to surpass the western democratic system in exploring its own development path. |
