| 《诗章》中庞德把史诗英雄奥德修斯作为贯穿诗篇始终的原型人物,传达了诗人庞德“英雄”救世的理想。神话中的英雄原型的不同侧面——返乡的航海者、有勇有谋的行动者、秩序的创建者及坚定的追寻者“置换变形”为诗篇中的汉诺、马拉泰斯塔、亚当斯和杰斐逊、墨索里尼以及诗人自己等历史和现实中的“英雄”。他们都是庞德心目中与奥德修斯原型一脉相承的“奋力走出愚昧走向真知”的精神的化身,表达了庞德的“英雄崇拜”情结。 |

| Abstract: |
| With the epic hero Odysseus as a prototypical personality running through the whole poem, The Cantos makes an expression of Pound 's ideal of saving the world by heroes. Various aspects of the hero Odysseus in Greek mythology, i.e. the Voyager of Nostos, the Man of Action, the Order-Constructor, and the Unwavering Seeker, is metamorphosed into historical or contemporary figures such as Hanno, Malatesta, Adams and Jefferson, Mussolini, and the poet himself in The Cantos. The relationship between these "heroic" figures and Odysseus reveals Pound 's "hero-worship complex" as well as the inherited spirit of "struggling upward out of ignorance into the clear light of philosophy" in Pound 's mind 's eye. |
